Italy celebrated a remarkable triumph in the Dominican Republic as Stefano Mazzoli claimed victory at the Corales Puntacana Championship, a tournament co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR and reserved for players not competing in The Open Championship. This victory is the first of Mazzoli's career at this level, following three Alps Tour titles and the 2021 Italian PGA Championship. With the win, Mazzoli earns exemptions on both the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour and secures a place in the 2027 PGA Championship.
